This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Astro What?. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:

Further we collect the IP (Internet Protocol) address you are connecting from to assist in tracking of spam/troll users and it is used to enforce bans and eliminate as much as possible the bypassing of those bans.

We do not have "ads" present on the site through any third party so no PII is processed to outside ad agencies. Any ads that may be served in the future will be processed by this site alone. We do use an Amazon Affiliate program for links pointing to Amazon in posts.

StopForumSpam provides free access to a database of known forum and blog spammers, including their email address, IP address, username, how busy they are and, in some cases, evidence of their spam.
The use of StopForumSpam is subject to the their Privacy Policy and AUP.
The use of Project HoneyPot is subject to the their Privacy Policy and their Terms of Use.

Security:

We are committed to ensuring that any information you provide to us is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place safeguards to secure the information we collect.

This is a recommended step to take after registering, however we reserve the right to make this mandatory at any future date. To use this additional security setting you will need access to a smart mobile phone and download the Google Authenticator App or other authentication applications that are supported.

Conversations (also known as direct messages)

Conversations between users CAN be reviewed by admin and staff. We do not make a habit of reviewing users conversations, but if they are reported and contain rule violations of the site, we will take action against the writer. Basically, consider the conversations as being the same as a public post, just direct between the participants. Don't post anything that violates our terms of service.

Updates

Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page. If the policy does change, you will be given notice upon first login after that change and the opportunity to review the new policy and you will be required to accept it if you choose to continue to use the site.
