General Did you ever have a telescope as a kid?

I still see telescopes myself nowadays in toy stores that are usually basic but a good way to get your child into telescopes and showing an interest in astronomy.

I myself never had a telescope as a kid but my brother did and he loved his and would use it as much as he could.

Did you ever have a telescope as a kid?

We couldn't afford stuff like that when I was a kid.. but I did play with my dad's binoculars... and that's what got me into it.
When our son was old enough, we got him one of those cheap department store reflectors that I was talking about... and we barely used it because what you could see was so disappointing other than the moon.
