General Do you remember your start-up telescope?

I always remember when I and my brothers were kids, one of them used to always be into things such as science and also astronomy and I always remember him getting a telescope for Christmas and he loved it.

It was only a small telescope that you could get for kids but it was one he started out with and he loved using it as much as he could.

Do you remember your first telescope?

I think most everyone started out with a "department store" grade telescope as a kid.... most parents weren't willing to blow several hundred dollars for something that with most kids would end up sitting in the corner after a few uses. We got one for our son... and honestly, I ended up playing with it more than he did... he just didn't have the interest or the awe of viewing our cosmos that I did.
