Since the wind is just out of the south (about 15mph), it was really affecting the DEC. So, a little redbeck ingenuity got it down from 1.5 to 0.83.

I find it so fascinating that the simple fixes are sometimes the best. Even with expensive equipment to combat issues, the best solutions are the most creative. Great effort!
 
Yep, you can spend a lot of money on solutions, or frequently you can make something that works well with what you have.
I'm planning on creating a PVC pipe frame that I can carry with me when I go to remote sites and then simply put it together and use the tarp we carry to put around it to block the wind. I'll have about $75 invested in it... and a commercial solution is usually several hundred.
