First attempt at processing a globular cluster. This the Owl Cluster.
This the first attempt at LRGB.

Thanks... I know it still needs some tweaking, but I think I may be starting to grasp the basics, which is the most important part.
I noticed also that with the shorter exposure times the stars don't look as bloated, and it seems that there is decent data there to work with.
 
You can always use the "Deconvolution" tool in Pix too. Lower the top slider (StdDev) from default of 2 to 1.5 and hit apply button. You'll see a change on the star in the preview window. It can/will correct elongated stars too.
 
Latest processing of this data... I really need to do a re-capture of the data and reduce the exposure time. I think 30 seconds will work well.
