As an astronomer, you will always be looking to purchase the best quality equipment that will aid in you seeing and capturing so many things that the naked eye can not see alone.

When buying equipment, you can soon realize just how expensive the equipment can get and when buying more than just one item, it can get costly.

Of all the items you have currently, which is the most expensive item?

Toss up right now between the ZenithStar 103mm refractor and the EQ6-R Pro mount.
Really want to get a lighter mount to carry in the RV, but the technology is improving so I'm holding off on buying another "big" mount, but am probably going to grab an HEQ-5 for use on my smaller scope and the SCT.
