I am only aware of maybe one or two telescope brands that there is at the moment but I know there are more than likely more than that and I have not just come across these as of yet.

It did get me wondering though what other brands there are and which brand you have and how you are finding that particular brand.

Which brand of telescope do you have at the moment?

Astro-Tech, Stellarvue and Meade. :geek:

I have a William Optics ZenithStar 103mm, Apertura 72mm APO and the Celestron NexStar 8se (which is probably about to be sold).

How do you like your WO 103mm ?

Overall it's been a very nice scope. I had an issue where the ring that the focuser inserts into stripped from the telescope tube itself (thread cut issue on the ring) and had to fix it with some JB-Weld. But other than that it has been a very solid scope. That's what the majority of my nebula images are captured with.
I need to find a simple flattener for it (it has a WO reducer/flattener on it) so I can actually get full use of the 710mm FL of the scope. Right now it's reduced to around 590mm.
I've noticed no outstanding chromatic issues with it. The William Optics is rather expensive though, but the QC and the support have been top notch.

I see one on Cloudy Nights classifieds but they are not shipping. Wouldn't mind having one of those. What size is the focuser ?;)

The Z103 uses a 2.5" focuser. WO quit carrying it a few years ago and "upgraded" to the +100mm sizes in only their Fluorostar line (120mm, 132mm and their new 156mm). Those use a 3.3" focuser (works with 3" flattener/reducer).
